You may have never heard of Casa Marin before today, but we guarantee you will in the future. They are an "up and coming" small family estate, that may be the most interesting winery in Chile. They craft tiny production wines that are varietally correct. Their Sauvignon Blanc tastes like premier French Sancerre! The Pinot Noirs can hold there own with the best of California and Burgundy! We were extremely impressed with these wines when owner/winemaker Maria Luz Marin came to the store and tasted us on them. We know you will be just as impressed.
The Pinots are from single-vineyard plots that are only two miles from the Pacific Ocean. This is a premier location due to it's steep slopes and cool coastal breezes. This micro-climate lends the grapes their complexity. These are not "fruit forward" wines but deep and complex, with superb structure. These wines are truly unique gems.
