The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is an attractive, mid-weight wine laced with dried cherries, dried flowers, sweet herbs and worn-in leather. This is another of the more feminine wines of the vintage. Still, the balance and sense of harmony are first-rate. Sweet, floral notes and a dash of French oak add a touch of depth and richness to the finish. This is an excellent choice for drinking over the next decade or so. Anticipated maturity: 2012-202
